Aromatherapy and Acupressure

This introductory class will teach you two powerful stress reducing techniques that you can use right away for overall healing, tension and stress relief. By pairing aromatherapy and shiatsu, you can profoundly enhance your well-being routine and add a new rich dimension to your holistic practice with essential oils.

Tension, stress, and trauma are what commonly block the flow of qi (energy) in our bodies and cause pain, headaches, and tension. Essential oils and acupressure points when used together can quickly reduce symptoms. Learn how to quickly help yourself, family or patients with a few basic points and oils.


Aromatherapy Foundations - Level 1 Certificate

Are you interested in developing or enhancing an existing health care practice? Do you want to learn how to safely and effectively integrate aromatherapy into your home and family life for managing everyday health conditions? This beginning level course in Aromatherapy introduces you the foundational information and skill set needed to learn how to work with essential oils in safe, practical, and cost effective ways. The course is supported by professional research and resources and taught by a professional, practicing Aromatherapist.  

This course is perfect for nurses, massage and shiatsu therapists, mental health care providers, retailers, acupuncturists, Senior, hospice and palliative care providers, or for anyone who wants clear, detailed information and education of Clinical Aromatherapy practices. The instructor also offers a unique East - West approach to essential oil uses and techniques. This course is recently updated and expanded with new information and more class hours.
Additional training continues in Level Two to learn which methods, and essential oils for stress and emotional support, pain and minor injury, respiratory health, skin care, lymphatic and immunity support.

Recommended but not required for class:

Student Kit of Essential Oils and a Materials Kit of bottles, blending oils and tools are available for purchase at class from Instructor, but not required for class.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the scope and potential of aromatherapy

Essential Oil Therapies

When: Saturday, December 13th 8:30am - 4:30pm, Room P1840

Upon completion of this course you will understand:

  • which oils to use, how  and why they are used for pain
  • which methods of applications to use for pain reduction
  • get recipes and create a pain blend to take home
  • Learn oil and  hands on treatments  you can immediately use to feel better, refresh the mind and balance overall energy.

This course is taught from a holistic approach and is easily applied to many care environments or for home use.  Aromatherapy is perfect for nurses, massage and shiatsu therapists, mental health care providers, acupuncturists, hospice and palliative care - but everyone can benefits from these simple and easy to use techniques for self, family and clients.

The instructor offers a unique East-West approach to essential oil uses and techniques. You will have time for hands on learning and practice applying essential oils and creating a blend.
